The
world has broken out in wars. Las Vegas has been ravaged by chemical warfare
and is now home to several clans and creatures.
Welcome
to I-D-8 Entertainment’s newest game: Clans of Vegas—Endless Night.
Friends
and family have gathered for a crunch time playtest of C.O.V.E.N.. When a
horrible thunderstorm hits, everyone’s sucked into the game for real. In the
MMORPG, Hope Collins is kidnapped by Buzz and forced to submit to his whims.
Her boyfriend, Alden, has to delay his quest of defeating a clan’s prince to
save her, but time and circumstance don’t seem to be on his side. Faith Collins
is bombarded by strange dreams brought on by Buzz. Her boyfriend, Tavis, learns
to dream walk, but can he help break the spell she’s under and save her before
she’s lost to him?
C.O.V.E.N.
is more than just a game. It’s a whole other world.

Excerpt:
Big T watched her with a huge grin on his face. Happier than
she’d been in ages, she returned the expression. Again she closed her eyes,
continued to juggle the shining spheres and hummed the tune from the dream she
had the night before.
“Zya,” Tavis whispered proudly.
She popped her eye open and stared at him, astonished. The
orbs came to rest in her hands. She stepped toward him, the tops of her
fingertips barely touching his chest with the spheres stilled in her palms, and
opened her mouth to speak.
“Nice set of balls you have there in your hands, Faith,”
Cassandra commented from the entrance to the kitchen before her cousin could
get a word out.
Faith and Big T dropped their balls like they were two kids
in trouble for having something they shouldn’t. As the orbs hit the floor, they
dissipated into the air.
Cassandra shook her head. “I don’t know about you two. Every
time I come in here, I catch you guys up to something. Well, have at it. Alden
is off fetching Hope. I’m heading out to Morrigan’s property. Then we’re off to
the temple. Since I’ll be with my friend, you won’t have to babysit me, Big T.”
She gave each one a cursory glance again, then left.
Once the front door closed, Faith gathered her wits and
focused back on Big T. She gasped. “You’re glowing!”
“Describe it for me.”
The rich, deep timbre of his voice reverberated through her
core, reminding her of the passion she’d shared with her new dream man. She
took a deep, steadying breath. “It’s like a fog edging your body. Not a thick
fog because I can still make out some detail behind you, but enough of a haze
to be defining. It’s a gorgeous turquoise. It ebbs and flows with your
breaths.”
“Well, my dear, you’re glowing, too. Your hue is a beautiful
amber, like that of your energy globes.” He took her hand in his.
“This is too weird,” she commented as the colors swirled and
blended together. “It’s like what happened in my dream. Maybe I need some more
sleep.”
“No, Faith, you don’t need more sleep. You need to find your
eyes, look with your soul, then you’ll see the truth and the path which is
already before you.” He stepped in toward her and pushed a lock of hair behind
her ear. “Your salvation from Mabuz’s world and the ties that bind you there lie
in choosing the right course of action, deciding between good and evil.”

Let's learn a little about Casey Moss:
What is your writing environment?
~ I have a room in the house that’s dedicated for me. I have a
huge desk with cubby holes, cabinets and a drawer. My monitor and screen is on
it and the computer tower is on a tall shelving unit on the left of the desk.
On the right side of the desk, there’s a bookcase on top of a two drawer filing
cabinet. Behind me, I have a fouton couch that I’ll crash out on if it’s late
at night (or in the early morning) and I’ve been writing and don’t want to
disturb hubby by crawling into bed and having the cat announce my presence.
Hell, I’ll even crash on the couch during the day if I need a nap. I have a
second monitor that doubles as my television on the filing cabinet to my right.
There’s a Queen Anne table which functions as an altar and houses my incense
and candles to my left. Let’s not forget my closet that’s full of craft
material, my print books I use for signings/sales, and yarn…lots and lots of
yarn…for when I get in the mood to crochet. Print outs of some of my book
covers are framed and hanging on the walls as are my college degree and writing
courses certificates. Oh, and I have a three drawer plastic container tower
which has a bunch of books in it. More books fill the bookcase and line the top
of my desk.
Who is your perfect hero and why?
~ Strong,
courageous but caring. My hero? My hubby. He gets me and doesn’t try to control
me.
What authors have caught your interest lately and why?
~ KC Klein. She’s a really nice person and I love the humor
amongst the seriousness she puts into her stories.
What type of book have you always wanted to write?
~ I’d love to do a literary project one of these days. The kind
that’s made into a dramatic movie.
Top 3 things on your bucket list?
~ An Alaskan cruise (which will be checked off in a month); go to
Hawaii; go to South America
How did you get the idea for this particular novel?
~ From playing computer games. Most specifically MMORPGs.
What is your favorite scene in your new release?
~ It’s a toss-up between when Hope first enters the world of
C.O.V.E.N. and when she’s in the bus terminal.
What are you working on now and when can we expect it to be available?
~ As of the time when I’m answering this question, the next C.O.V.E.N.
book (Genesis) is in the submission queue and I’m waiting to see if it’s
accepted. Hopefully it will be and then it should be available in a few months.
I’m also working on the next story in the series (Open World Continuum) &
if all goes well it should be out by the end of the year, or if not then, then
the beginning of 2015.
What do you like to do when you are not writing?
~ I like to play computer
games; crochet; read; play cards. I have a big book collection.
What would you consider a perfect date?
~ Dinner and a movie at home with no cell phones.
What is one interesting fact about you that readers don’t know?
~ I used to take tap dancing lessons.
