Date Night Movie Ideas

You finally get a night alone and now need to decide what to do....with limited finances that can be a difficult decision.  I recommend a Movie Date Night!  Red Box and Netflix are great for a budget friendly evening.   Here are a list of newer movies (2012-2013) for all types of couples in all genres:

1)  This Means War (2012) R {romantic comedy} - stars Chris Pine, Reese Witherspoon and Tom Hardy

Two top CIA operatives wage an epic battle against one another after they discover they are dating the same woman.

I loved this movie and highly recommend it to lovers of this genre.  The storyline is so fun and sexy and all the actors have such chemistry together.

2)  Looper (2012) R {action} - stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bruce Willis and Emily Blunt

In 2074, when the mob wants to get rid of someone, the target is sent 30 years into the past, where a hired gun awaits. Someone like Joe, who one day learns the mob wants to 'close the loop' by transporting back Joe's future self.

This movie surprised me in that I enjoyed myself while watching it and got really caught up in the story.

3)  The Call (2013) R {thriller} - stars Halle Berry, Abigail Breslin and Morris Chestnut

When a veteran 911 operator takes a life-altering call from a teenage girl who has just been abducted, she realizes that she must confront a killer from her past in order to save the girl's life.

This was an edge of your seat ride and I loved it!  Halle Berry and Abigail Breslin did a fantastic job and the story was so intense that you will gasp many times while viewing.

4) The Impossible (2012) PG-13 {drama/thriller} - stars Naomi Watts, Ewan McGregor and Tom Holland

The story of a tourist family in Thailand caught in the destruction and chaotic aftermath of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.

OMG!  This movie was so vivid and consuming that you will feel like you were tossed around as well by the tsunami!

5) Jack Reacher (2012) PG-13 {action} - stars Tom Cruise, Rosamund Pike and Richard Jenkins

A homicide investigator digs deeper into a case involving a trained military sniper who shot five random victims.

A really good action adventure with a little mystery thrown in as well as a few surprises.

6)  Cabin In The Woods (2012) R {horror} - stars Kristin Connolly, Chris Hemsworth and Anna Hutchison

Five friends go for a break at a remote cabin in the woods, where they get more than they bargained for. Together, they must discover the truth behind the cabin in the woods.

I was shocked at this movie but it was a good shock!  It is definitely a horror but it is interestingly more than that so just sit back and enjoy the show.
