An interview with the amazing Mira Lyn Kelly!

How did you get the idea for this particular novel?

It was during an intense discussion over the myriad flavors of “HOT” guys came in, and the subsequent dive into Pinterest’s man-candy files that left me with a handful of “tuxedo-fine” examples, and a story idea about a group of best men I just couldn’t ignore.

What is your favorite scene in your new release?

I love them all, but my favorite is probably where Jase and Emily have just discovered they’ve been paired up for another wedding. They’re both so exhausted from the ongoing animosity between them, for the first time, they simply don’t have the energy to actually fight…

Emily blinked again, peering up into Jase’s face as she gave in to the tears completely.

“But I hate you.”

“I know, honey.” He pulled her to his chest, closing those powerful arms around her back so all she could do was crumble into him. “I feel the same way.”

God, how could he make her feel so much better? How could burrowing her face against his shoulder feel so right?

She drew a shaky breath, catching the scent of his cologne as he brushed his fingers through her hair. And then something wholly different from the overwhelm­ing frustration that had sent her running from the table moved through her body. Something warm and quiet. An awareness that shouldn’t be there.

What are you working on now and when can we expect it to be available?

I’m working on the 3^rd Best Men book—BEST MAN WITH BENEFITS. It’s a best friends to lovers story with two very reluctant leads, lol. Sean and Molly have got a lot of years of friendship between them to protect. But now that they’re living together… it’s getting harder and harder to ignore the pull that shouldn’t be there. Having SO much fun torturing them, lol! (Wait, maybe I shouldn’t admit that??) This one should be out in 2017.

What do you like to do when you are not writing?

We’ve got four kids and a high energy dog, so family time is the best.  Also I love to bake, read, and watch movies.

What is one interesting fact about you that readers don’t know?

I’ve been skydiving twice and loved it!
