A healing and emotionally fragile girl unknowing falls for the nephew of the man who killed her family.

College freshmen, Phoebe's new lover is sexy, creative and willing to let her act out all her dirty fantasies.  Unfortunately, Keith's not telling her the truth about who he really is and the secret past that binds them together. When his Uncle breaks out of prison to search for the "girl who got away," Keith risks losing the best thing in his life by admitting to Phoebe that his Uncle killed her parents.

Phoebe Jones lost her family during a home invasion when she was only thirteen. She's the only one of the four girls who remembers a loving family. But Keith Parker isn't without his own demons. His Uncle, now on death row, was one of the men who broke into Phoebe's house eight years ago. What started out as a project for understanding and healing is complicated when Phoebe & Keith act on the explosive desire between them.

Phoebe craves to be in control sexually and Keith is more than willing to let her have her way with him. What started out as a hot fling rapidly becomes something deeper. Keith knows he'll lose her if he reveals who he really is, but the lie has taken on a life of its own and threatens to destroy not only their relationship but Phoebe's fragile self confidence and freshly won self esteem.

“Larissa Estevez.”

Kelly’s ear splitting whistle nearly deafened her, so Phoebe retaliated with a “whoo-hoo!” that scraped her throat raw.  On stage, Larissa gave them two thumbs up and then vanished into the crowd.  One down.

Larissa was going to try and stay at the group home as long as she could, hoping they would hire her on to do baking and cooking.  It wouldn’t pay anything but room and board, but it was something she loved to do.  She didn’t want to go to college.  Larissa had taken classes in pastry making through high school and did a vocational program that sent her to intern at a large bakery.  Too bad, when the internship ended, they didn’t want to take Larissa on for a full time paid position.

“Chad gave me the keys to his truck today,” Kelly dangled them.

“Wow, he must really love you.”  His parents had given him the big, blue Ford F150 as a sweet sixteen present and almost three years later, it still looked like it just driven off the showroom floor.

“This week, anyway,” Kelly said.  Chad and her had an on again off again thing going on.  It was on when there wasn’t anyone better and off when he found a new plaything.  Pheobe didn’t know why Kelly kept taking him back.  It was an old argument between them.  “He’s riding with his parents to some fancy cocktail party at the marina.”

“He didn’t invite you?”  Phoebe was ready to throw down about that.

“He did.” Kelly shrugged.  “I’d rather be with you guys.  I figure we could drive down to Chatfield Hollow and go swimming.”

“It’s not warm enough,” Phoebe protested, but she tightened her grip on Kelly’s hand.  That sounded fantastic.  They could go back to the home, have Larissa’s wonderful cake and then take off.

“He also stocked the truck from his parent’s liquor cabinet.”

“Aw,” Phoebe joked.  “I had been looking forward to Boone’s strawberry wine.”

“Well, you’re going to have to settle for a bottle of Captain Morgan and a case of Pepsi.”

“I could do that.”  A smile broke out on her face and Pheobe found the strength to let of of Kelly’s hand.

            “Phoebe Jones.”

            Show time.
