Not so New in Town
A Harmony Homecoming novel
by Michele Summers

Blurb:

You can't go back, and you can't stand still...

Lucy Doolan is a marketing genius. She can sell rain to a frog and snow to a polar bear. Newly single and unemployed, she's lured back to her hometown of Harmony, North Carolina to help out her pregnant evil stepsister...only to find former crush heartthrob Brogan Reese has returned too, to open a new business in town. To add insult to injury, he's still hot.

If the thunder don't get you, then the lightning will...

Brogan never noticed Lucy much when they were young, but seventeen people have recommended her to help him. She's got his attention now. With her sweet personality, brilliant imagination, and penchant for doing the completely unpredictable, Brogan is finding a whole lot of excuses to spend his days-and nights-with Lucy.

My Review:

I found myself instantly captivated by this wonderful story!  Lucy has returned to her hometown after she finds herself unemployed to take care of her very pregnant stepsister.  Brogan, a boy Lucy had a huge crush on, has also returned to open a new business in town.  Brogan and Lucy find themselves unexpectedly very attracted to one another but both only plan on being in Harmony for a very short time before they leaving once again.

OMG!  This was a fabulous story featuring some wonderful characters that had me laughing throughout the book.  With its well written and very engaging storyline, I did not want to put the book down.  A fantastic blend of drama, humor and romance I devoured this book.  Lucy is a "junk food junkie" who only returns because her evil stepsister, Julia, and sweet nephew, Parker, need her.  She finds Julie still evil but Parker is now a teenager who is not exactly sweet anymore.  Brogan's business is health food but he is finding it hard to get customers.  The last thing he wants or has time for is an attraction to Lucy as he needs to focus on making his business a success.  I loved how the author slowly built their relationship, using both sexual chemistry and humor.

I highly recommend this book to lovers of romance, especially humorous small town romance.  I am so looking forward to more romances from this amazing author! 5 stars ~Booklover Sue
