Generational Curse

BLURB:

What happens when a celibate Christian man befriends a woman involved with a married man? Sean knows he should run in the other direction, but Kyla tempts him to abandon his Christian beliefs for a taste of the forbidden. But if he continues the relationship, can he convince that being with a married man isn't the fantasy life the generations of women in her family made it appear to be?

Sean Prescott and Kyla James are business associates playing a dangerous game of cat and mouse hoping the other will give in. But in this high stakes relationship game, is there really a winner or will both be losers?

EXCERPT:

“I WANNA GET MARRIED,” ERIC announced.

Kyla leaned up against the headboard. “Excuse me?”

“I want, let me rephrase that. If I want to be taken seriously as a marriage therapist, it would help if I were married.”

“I see.”

“Most of the couples I’ve been working with are beginning to question my ability to treat them, seeing I’m not married. So, what do you say?” He waited for her answer.

“That was a horrible proposal.”

“I’m sorry.” He got up and walked over to her side of the bed, took her hand in his, cleared his throat and made a second attempt. “Kyla, will you marry me.”

She looked at him for a brief moment, before replying, “Baby, I’m not Susie Homemaker. I like things the way they are.” He stood up, looking at her with no reaction. “Like I told you before, I’m not interested in marriage.”

“We don’t have to live together, it could be like it is now. Only difference is, we’d be married.”

“How is that like what we have now? I don’t want to be legally bound to you, or anyone else for that matter.” She tried to read his expression. “If this is something you feel you need to do, then I think you should get married.”

“But you said you didn’t want to get married.”

“I don’t.” She stood up and put her robe on. “Excuse me.” She walked into the kitchen and he followed her.

“I’m a little confused. You agree with my decision to get married, but you don’t want to marry me.”

“That’s correct.” She poured two glasses of champagne.

“I don’t understand.”

She took a long sip and answered him. “It’s very simple. You need a wife. Let me rephrase that, you want a showpiece. Someone your patients can relate to, right?”

“Yes.”

“All I want from you is sex.”

 Talking with Tracy Reed!

What is your writing environment?

My writing environment is in my kitchen.  I havent set up my office yet.  I hope to have that completed or at least usable by then end of Summer.

Who is your perfect hero/heroine and why?

Who is my perfect herowow, thats tough question.  Im going to take a little liberty and change it to ideal hero.  My ideal hero would be a tall black James Bond.  Hes suave, sexy, intelligent, romantic, charismatic and fun.

What authors have caught your interest lately and why?

There are three authors that caught my eye.  The first is Julia Kent.  I like her styleshe keeps me laughing.  I just finished her Shopping for a Billionaire series.  Shes inspired me to try writing a romantic comedy.  I also discovered Elizabeth Lennox.  I like the way she writes loves scenes.  Im on the second book in her Attracelli Family Series.  The third one is Melody Anne.  I read The Billionaire Wins the Game and now I want to know what happens next  I like the way she writes anticipation.  The amazing thing is, I got all the first of these books for free or either $.99.  Once I finished those, I went in and bought the follow ups.  My Kindle app is filled with a variety of books ranging from sweet to steamy.

What type of book have you always wanted to write?

Its my goal to write books that are inspirational.  Not so much in the preachy tone, but books that inspire the reader to think outside of the boxstrive for the goalsset goalsenjoy life.

Top 3 things on your bucket list?

My bucket listI really dont have one, per se.  There are a lot of things I want to accomplish, but none that if I dont Ill feel my life meant nothing.

I read a quote by  Erma Bombeck When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope the I would not have a single bit of talent left , and could say I used everything You gave me.’”  Thats kind of my bucket list.

How did you get the idea for this particular novel?

How did I come up with the idea for GENERATIONAL CURSEI wanted to tell the wealthy powerful man who seduces the naive virgin story, but in reverse.  I wanted to know what would happen if a hot virile man became celibate and in love with God, would he be able to resist the hot, sexy woman who tried every trick in the book to seduce him.

What is your favorite scene in your new release?

My favorite scene islet me see how I can answer that without giving away too much.  I have a couple of favorite scenes. First is, Naked Night.  Ive had a lot of people ask about that one.  Second, is the kiss in Chapter 34.  Third is a tie between Chapters 38 and 57.  Thats all Im saying.

What are you working on now and when can we expect it to be available?

I have a couple of books coming out.  I just finished my first novella, The Good Girl.  It will be out in June.

Im also putting the finish on my next full length novel, The Alex Chronicles: What My Friends Dont Know, for Summer.  Its the first in The Alex Chronicles Series.

There are at least three other books in the works.  The follow up to Generational Curse.  I started it and its a little more intense, possibly steamier than book one.  It deals with Kylas sister and shes something else.  Im almost done with the second installment of The Alex Chronicles and I just started the second novella for The Good Girl Series.

What do you like to do when you are not writing?

When Im not writingI like to cook, shop and explore.  I like exploringnew things, places, etc.

What is one interesting fact about you that readers dont know?

An interesting fact about meI also own an online lingerie store called The Pink Duchess.

    1. Hi Mai,
What book do I wish I could have written? Good question. There are so many good books available it's hard to narrow it down to one. I'll change the question around a little. I want to write books that inspire. On the real, it would be great to write a book as successful as the Harry Potter Series.
      Thanks,
      Tracy

    2. Hi Betty,
Sorry about the weird log in. I'm having problems with Blogger.

Who are my favorite authors? Great question. My favorite author is the author of the book I'm currently reading. Smile. There are a lot of great authors and it's too difficult to narrow it down to a few. Thanks for the question and I'm glad you liked the post.
