My Review:

OMG! This was an absolutely, positively amazing story! Elena finds herself shot during a hold-up and she is saved by sexy yet scary Nikolai who is convinced she is a half vampire monster who should be destroyed, which she totally does not believe. Nikolai is a slayer sent to kill Elena but instead finds himself curiously and confusingly attracted to her. Now they must work together to find out the truth of Elena and her family before more slayers are sent to end her life as well as Nikolai's. The chemistry between these two fantastic characters was amusing as well as off the charts hot. The development of their relationship was so well written and entertaining that I was unable to put this book down at all! This paranormal story has a fabulous blend of action, adventure, romance and humor that leaves the reader never wanting the tale to end! I am so looking forward to more books in this wonderful series and let me tell you that there are some awesome secondary characters who totally need their own stories! I am adding Marissa Clarke to my list of authors to keep an eye on! ~Booklover Sue
