Dog Days of Summer
by P.J.
Fiala
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Owning
Rolling Thunder Motorcycles, Inc. and raising his twin sons was top priority in
Dog’s life. That was until he met Jocelyn James, the sweet, loving, single
mother of Gunnar, a young man who works for Dog.
Joci
raised Gunnar alone all of his life after her cheating, dickhead of a boyfriend
ran off with another woman. She finished school, started her own graphic design
business and hung out with friends and family. The last thing on her mind was
men! That is until she met Dog.
The
chemistry is undeniable. The passion is incredible. The family bond is like no
other.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Excerpt:
Chapter 2
Joci nodded once, turned, and walked out the office door.
Her palms were sweaty, and her underarms were moist. She could feel her scalp
dampen and prickle. His aftershave was still teasing her nostrils as she walked
down the stairs to find Gunnar. At the bottom of the stairs, LuAnn stepped in
front of her, causing Joci to stop on the bottom step. “Don’t get any ideas
about him. He’s mine. Understand?”
“Really? It didn’t seem like he was yours when he asked me
out.” Joci met LuAnn’s stare with one of her own. She didn’t come here to cat
fight. Besides, if Jeremiah and LuAnn were an item, he had no business asking
her out. She had already been with two cheaters in her life, she wasn’t going
down that road again.
“You just watch yourself. You come in here with your big
fucking ideas,” snarled LuAnn, using air quotes. “You need a logo. Only I know
what he needs, got it?”
Joci’s heart was hammering again. This is one pissed off
woman. “Got it. Now step aside.”
Joci pushed past LuAnn and with shaky legs and headed to the
garage to find Gunnar talking with the guys. “Mom, check it out. Ryder built
this fan.” They all looked up, and Joci saw four windshields mounted to a
ceiling fan motor making a very cool fan for a bike shop. “Turn it on Ryder.”
Someone yelled.

Thank you very much for having me on your blog today. And, thank
you everyone who is joining us. ~PJ Fiala
What is your writing environment?
I have an office
off of my kitchen. It overlooks my
flowers in the front yard and the driveway. I have big windows and can look
outside and see what’s going on. I
always have either the television or music playing. The quiet creeps me out!
Who is your perfect hero and why?
My perfect hero is a little bit
alpha a little bit teddy bear. I don’t
like the heroes who are as_holes, don’t see the attraction. Someone who is smart, sexy, alpha and loving
is my ideal.
What authors have caught your interest lately and why?
Lately, Joanna Wylde, Lacey Silks
and CM Hutton have caught my attention.
I love their alpha males and the steamy sex.
What type of book have you always wanted to write?
I’m writing them. I love a good
romance. There is nothing like that
first kiss, first touch, first time they have sex and then the journey to get
to the happily ever after.
Top 3 things on your bucket list?
Ooo, good one. I would say, I want to see Italy,
specifically the Tuscan Valley. I would love to meet Kid Rock and I want to be
a New York Times best selling author.
How did you get the idea for this particular novel?
My husband and I are bikers. It
was natural for me to write about bikers, but we aren’t 1%ers, so I didn’t want
to write about outlaw bikers, I wanted to do the opposite.
What is your favorite scene in your new release?
I love the scene where Joci is
explaining the tattoo on her ankle to Jeremiah. “Sigh”
What are you working on now and when can we expect it to be available?
My latest release, Dog Days of
Summer is the first in a series, The Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Series. I am currently
working on the next installment, Rydin The Storm Out. It’s about Jeremiah’s
son, Ryder and is journey into falling in love.
What do you like to do when you are not writing?
My husband and I bike. We actually just came back from a week on the
road. We have great friends we ride with. Other than riding, I read a lot and
play with my grandchildren.
What would you consider a perfect date?
A nice restaurant, delicious
wine, fabulous meal and great conversation. Outside of that, a bike ride in the
evening along the water would be perfect.
What is one interesting fact about you that readers don’t know?
Hmmm. I suppose everyone’s idea
of interesting is different, so let me give you a couple. I ride my own
motorcycle, and I have since 1998. I am
a cancer survivor for thirteen years now.

AUTHOR Bio and Links:
I was born in
a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri named Bridgeton. During my time in Missouri, I
explored the Ozarks, swam in the Mississippi River, and played kickball and
endless games of hide and seek with the neighborhood kids. Spending summers in
Kentucky with my grandmother, Ruth, are the fondest childhood memories for me.
At the age of
thirteen, my family moved to Wisconsin to learn to farm. Yes, learn to farm!
That was interesting. Taking city kids and throwing them on a farm with
twenty-eight cows purchased from the humane society because they had been
abused was interesting. I learned to milk cows, the ins and outs of breeding
and feeding schedules, the never ending haying in the summer, and trying to
stay warm in the winter. Our first winter in Wisconsin we had thirty-six inches
of snow in one storm and were snowed in our house for three days! Needless to
say, I wasn’t loving Wisconsin.
I am now
married with four children and two grandchildren and a new one on the way this
summer. I have learned to love Wisconsin, though I still hate snow. Wisconsin
and the United States are beautiful, and my husband and I travel around by
motorcycle seeing new sites and meeting new people. It never ceases to amaze me
how many people are interested in where we are going and what we have seen
along the way. At every gas station, restaurant, and hotel, we have people come
up to us and ask us about what we are doing as well as offer advice on which roads
in the area are better than others.
I come from a
family of veterans. My grandfather, father, brother, two of my sons, and one
daughter-in-law are all veterans. Needless to say, I am proud. Proud to be an
American and proud of the service my amazing family has given.

Daddy Moorebucks by Normandie Alleman
| |
From the moment she laid eyes upon him,
Marley knew in her heart that James was not just another client, and the
difference wasn't even the large sum of money he offered in return for a
single night of submission. No, what set him apart was the fact that when she
called James "daddy," it was her own heart which beat faster and
her own body which ached with need. After that night, Marley does her best to
put all thought of him behind her, using the huge payday he provided to get
on her feet again and start over... until James knocks on her door and walks
right back into her life. He makes her a simple offer: if she will live with
him and submit to him whenever he wishes, he will provide for her every
desire.

They’ve got the
sex factor in spades. But can love survive the “ex” factor? Selene has
harbored submissive fantasies most of her life, but as a domestic abuse
counselor, she’s leery of giving up that much control. Until she meets Nick,
a dom who offers to show her the ins and outs of ropes, paddles, and
floggers. Selene’s common sense, taste for kink, and smoking sensuality is
like a dream Nick never dared to have. Except they’ve both agreed to a
no-strings arrangement, not long-term domestic bliss. And when an ex needs
their help, there may not be time to save their love from all the things
they’re afraid to say. Warning: Sexy, kinky, geeky dominant guy. Smart
submissive woman. Crazy ex. A little experimentation between girlfriends. And
lots and lots of kinky sex.

But just when he thinks he’s pummeled his past to death, Alyson Blake reenters his life. Two paths collide… After years of separation, Alyson is eager to re-explore the man who’s never left her thoughts, but for Jamison, she’s both the distraction he wants, but doesn’t need.
