Interview - Going Under (Falling Under Trilogy, Book 1) by Jeffe Kennedy

Going Under
Falling Under Trilogy, Book One
by Jeffe Kennedy

Genre: Erotic Romance

Book Description:

Knowing all too well the damage online trolls can inflict, game designer Emily Bartwell takes privacy seriously. Living in solitude and working remotely under a male alias gives her a sense of security. The sexy writer renting the house next door ignites desires she’d forgotten she had, and when he invites her to play games of a very different sort, Em is ready and willing. Even if it means breaking all her own rules to abide by his.

Undercover tech reporter Fox Mullins is so close to the biggest scoop of his career: finding the elusive programmer Phoenix. An increasingly erotic adventure with his reserved but passionate new neighbor is the ideal way to heat up the chilly Pacific Northwest nights as he tracks the brilliant gamer.

At first Fox is happy to help Em explore her newly awakened kinky side, no holds barred, no strings attached. But as they push the limits of intimacy, both physical and emotional, Fox discovers he’s not the only one keeping secrets. And revealing hers may mean betraying the one woman who embodies everything he desires.

Let's Learn a Little about Jeffe Kennedy:
What is your writing environment?
I’m tremendously lucky – I live in the country outside Santa Fe, New Mexico. I have a dedicated office and a hydraulic desk that I can use sitting, standing or walking. I look out a huge picture window, down the Galisteo basin to Sandia peak and the Ortiz mountains.
Who is your perfect hero and why?
Hmm… I think it varies by the heroine. I’m a big believer in finding the synchronicity in the partnership between people. The hero should be a person who values and cherishes the heroine for everything she is. More, he should appreciate about her what she most values in herself, possibly that other people don’t necessarily approve of.
What authors have caught your interest lately and why?
Lately I’ve been re-reading the entire J.D. Robb In Death series . I’m up to book 39. I’m studying how she’s managed to keep this series going so strongly and so well that it’s still an autobuy for me.
What type of book have you always wanted to write?
Good ones! Does that sound disingenuous? I read widely across pretty much all genres. I love a book that transports me, that changes the way I see the world. I want to write THAT.
Top 3 things on your bucket list?
All are travel-related – visit Ireland and snorkel in the Maldives and Lord Howe Island.
How did you get the idea for this particular novel?
I was very interested in what Anita Sarkeesian endured from online trolls when she began her Kickstarter campaign to investigate video game tropes of female characters. I’d also envisioned this book as the next in my Facets of Passion series (Sapphire, Platinum, Ruby and Five Golden Rings). We ended up re-titling both the series and this book, but I’d originally called it “Emerald.” I wanted to set in the deeply green landscape of the Pacific Northwest. That dovetailed with the computer programming industries – and my heroine emerged from there.
What is your favorite scene in your new release?
So hard to pick just one! I kind of love the beach scene though, when Emily asks to see Fox’s abs, because she’s heard how amazing they are. J
What are you working on now and when can we expect it to be available?
Actually, I’m writing the next book in the Falling Under series! It will be called Under His Touch and it’s scheduled to release January 19. Anticipate lots of suit-porn in this one. My next book release, however, will be, Rogue’s Paradise,  the third book in my fantasy romance trilogy, A Covenant of Thorns. That comes out September 8.
What do you like to do when you are not writing?
I like to garden and take long walks. Mostly not-writing free time is for reading, however. I love to sit on my patio and read non-stop!
What would you consider a perfect date?
Being with someone I love and enjoy makes any activity perfect.
What is one interesting fact about you that readers don’t know?
I studied Kung Fu for over 15 years. J
