Book Description:
Life raising a hellhound is no
easy task. Unforeseen problems can and will arise at every turn. If things weren't crazy enough juggling a
job, blind dating a vampire and being stalked by a demon, then life in
Paradise is about to get a whole lot worse for Summer when her landlord demands
she unearth the RAT or the BROOM will have her head.
What does that even mean? Is the
landlord insane? Summer's best friend Tori thinks so. Top it off with a visit from a fallen angel,
a dragon, and Summer's got herself a whopper of a mystery to solve.
Let's Learn a Little about Author T. Lynne Tolles:
What is your writing environment?
I usually write on the bed with a couple of cats around.
Who is your perfect hero and why?
I love a hero that on any other given day is a regular guy –
maybe even a little awkward or geeky, but has a true blue heart and loyal
to a fault.
What authors have caught your interest lately and why?
I wish I could say I’m a big reader, but quite frankly I
don’t have the time and I’m so worried I might unintentionally roll their plot
ideas into mine. But with all the traveling I’ve been doing going to signings
and Cons, I usually do bring a book with me. I think my next purchase will be
Julie Morgan’s Angel series, which sounds interesting and I just read
Hollow’s End by Marianne Morea which I liked very much.
What type of book have you always wanted to write?
I’ve been toying with the idea of a book of humor based on
cats that I’d like to do one day when I have the time.
Top 3 things on your bucket list?
1.
Visit Ireland
2.
Revisit Venice
3.
Learn a language
In that order.
How did you get the idea for this particular novel?
I guess I was tired of writing about vampires and werewolves
for the moment and wrote a list of Supernatural creatures I might want to
write about. I thought of a hellhound and
what that would be like to have one as a pet. I had a Newfoundland dog up until a few weeks ago and had so many funny stories
about raising a giant dog so I thought I could use some of those stories to use for
the hellhound.
What is your favorite scene in your new release?
Sully gets a cold and everytime he sneezes he starts a fire,
so Summer has to carry around a fire extinguisher everywhere they go.
What are you working on now and when can we expect it to be
available?
I’m working on a Pirate/Steampunkish type book, where a guy
gets shanghaied by the Royal Navy in the colonies just before the Revolution. Being
the last man fighting when pirates attack the ship, the Pirate captain gives him the
option of becoming one of his crew or die – easy decision. In order to befriend the crew
and the captain, he starts making all these useful but interesting contraptions. I’m presently
only about 13,000 words into it so I don’t imagine I’ll be done before the end of summer or
later.
What do you like to do when you are not writing?
I’m a craft-aholic. Lately I’ve been making most all of my
swag and have recently been named the swag Queen at the last Con I went to. I sew a lot, play
video games, hang with the family and knit.
What would you consider a perfect date?
Where I don’t have to get out of my pjs and have commitments
hanging over my head – then just Lounge and enjoy the peace.
What is one interesting fact about you that readers don’t
know?
On my mother’s side, I’m a third generation Californian,
which I might add, is very unusual. Most Californians are from someplace else originally. I’m not
sure that’s interesting, but it’s a true fact about me.
T. Lynne Tolles can be found most
days, juggling one of two cat muses and a laptop, tripping over an ancient
Newfoundland dog and washing a never-ending pile of laundry. When life doesn’t
get in the way, she writes paranormal romances for new adults.
Her passion for witches, ghosts,
and vampires together with a light-hearted wit are reflected in her loveable
characters and the adventures of mystery they unravel to find their happily
ever after.
