Lani Lynn Vale is back with the fourth book in her Freebirds series, LAST DAY OF MY LIFE! Ex-soldiers, bikers, hot alpha heroes and feisty heroines, oh my! Lani is joining us today so please give her a warm welcome and be sure to pick up LAST DAY OF MY LIFE today!
Let's learn a little about Lani Lynn Vale:
What is your writing
environment?
I write in my living room on a kitchen table. I have three kiddos that are under 5. They don’t like when I’m behind closed
doors. J
Who is your perfect
hero/heroine and why?
Perfect hero- I’m a nice person (Most of the time) and I
like to read about nice heroes. The ones
where the man is attentive, caring, faithful and an alphahole. I don’t want him to be a pushover, and I like
my men a little rough around the edges, but still nice enough to see when
they’re being mean and apologize accordingly.
My heroine- well she has to be strong, supportive, and
caring. She has to understand that her
hero isn’t the type of man that’s going to let the woman be in danger, and deal
with it. She IS NOT too stupid to
live. She will be smart in any
situation, and take into consideration what her man would do if he found out
she was doing something stupid.
What authors have
caught your interest lately and why?
I’m a humor with my romance type of person, and I recently
discovered R. S. Grey when I read Scoring Wilder. I laughed throughout the entire book. If there’s humor and love, that’s my kind of
book.
What type of book
have you always wanted to write?
Historical. I’ve not
worked up the courage yet, but I’m working on it. I LOVE highlanders!!
Top 3 things on your
bucket list?
1.
I want to
go skydiving.
2.
Get my concealed handgun license
3.
Get my scuba diving certification along with my
husband and go somewhere with crystal clear water.
How did you get the
idea for this particular novel?
Honestly, I just started writing a scene, and it turned into
this. I didn’t really have a particular
direction that I was going with this book.
It just kind of happened.
What is your favorite
scene in your new release?
There is a part towards the end of the book when Jack wakes
up in the hospital. He has one thing and
one thing only on his mind, and that’s seeing his woman. I loved the way he demanded it, despite the
situation.
What are you working
on now and when can we expect it to be available?
I’m working on the second book in the Heroes of Dixie
Wardens MC series. It should be
available Fall of 2014!
What do you like to
do when you are not writing?
Read, of course! I
read just about anything if it has a happy ending.
What is one
interesting fact about you that readers don’t know?
I read the epilogue’s first in every single book I
read. If there’s no happy ending or it
ends in a cliffhanger, it goes on the back burner until the next book out in
that series does!
If you could be anything BUT a writer, what would you be?
I would want to own my own bookstore. I can think of no better way to spend my day
but surrounded by books.
