Excerpt:
A warm breeze ruffled the trees, and she glanced at her camera. The stupid tripod didn’t want to stay in place. She grumbled under her breath. Squatting down, she jiggled the tiny metal legs into the earth, hoping to steady it. A couple of rocks would help. She grabbed a few of the biggest ones and circled the tripod legs with them to keep it stable.

Long strands of frizzy hair kept falling forward out of her ponytail, tickling the side of her face. She tugged the annoying hair behind her ear and continued to mess with the tripod.

“Stupid, friggin’, piece of—”

A low growl sounded close. Too close. She whipped up to her feet, still holding one of the rocks in her hands and turned in a flash. Unfortunately, she was also one of the clumsiest people and tripped on her own feet. She lost her balance, and she fell on her ass.

“Carajo!”

A howl sounded from the ceremony site, and she scrambled to her knees to watch one of the wolves, she'd guess it was Marco because he was bigger, sniffing Kelly’s behind.

“Just like a man to go straight for the goods.” She snorted.

But she didn’t get a chance to keep watching. Something bumped her backside, pushing her forward. She tangled on the tripod and fell on her face.

“Oh, for crying out loud.” Clearly, she sucked at being inconspicuous. Strands of hair fell forward, covering her vision. She lifted on all four and flipped to sit on her ass. There he was, the one shifter that drove her absolutely crazy in every way possible.

“Spot? What are you doing here? And why did you bury your nose in my ass, you pervert?”

Not that it turned her on that he put his nose in her ass. It was…weird. He growled. The low deep sound twisted her belly into all kinds of knots. Oh, boy. She was in trouble. Staring at his cute furry face, she was very tempted to lift a hand and pet him.

Nathan, big, bad, sexy, pierced hunk of male candy stood not more than five feet in front of her in his wolf form. The form that looked like a cute Dalmatian-wolf with a white spot over his muzzle, hence the name she’d given him, “Spot.”

His eyes glittered in that golden shade from his animal. A shiver raced down her spine.

“I know how this must look, but it’s not what you think.” She felt like a moron talking to him when he was a giant wolf. He took a step toward her. She squiggled an inch further away. With a quick swipe, she moistened her dry lips with the tip of her tongue. “We were invited to be here. I swear.”

My Review:

I loved this book.  This is book 2 in a wonderful paranormal series and I felt it was a great romance.  Karla is such a strong woman who has wanted Nathan for years.  Nathan is super sexy and determined to win the woman he has been craving since he has met her.  Karla has one big issue in her life, her family, and I have to say if I had her family, I would probably be in prison by now.  Nathan has to really work to win a place in Karla's life.  This story was filled with action, family drama and a whole lot of sexiness.  I felt like I was sitting at the edge of my seat while reading this book and I was so pulled into the story that I did not want to stop until I read "the end".  The story was very well written as well as very entertaining.  I do recommend that to fully appreciate this book, Scent of a Mate should be read first! ~Booklover Sue

Lets learn a little about Milly:
Booklover Sue:  What is your writing environment?
Not as fun as I would like it to be. I live in a small apartment so our second bedroom (which is used mostly for storage) is my “office” lol. But it’s okay because as long as I have quiet I’m good. Though hubs and kid love to come in and bug me all the time.
Booklover Sue:  Who is your perfect hero and why?
I think any man who can commit to being with a woman through good and bad. Who will love her not for what she looks like, but for who she is. A man who will put aside anger differences and personal opinions when the one you love needs you. A man who cherishes his family and will put them first at all times. Those are my heroes. Men who are real men and a woman is a partner they cherish.
Booklover Sue:  What authors have caught your interest lately and why?
I am big fan of paranormal and contemporary authors. My friends make up most of my reading list. Mina Carter, Alivia Anders, Nadege Richards and Lindsay Avalon plus a few others. I think I love paranormal and fantasy. From the contemporary side I’m a fan of soldiers so Nicole Kuhn, Rachel Firasek, and L.P. Dover
Booklover Sue:  What type of book have you always wanted to write?
I like romance/drama type and have quite a few outlines but haven’t gotten to them. When I share ideas with friend they are super encouraging.
Booklover Sue:  Top 3 things on your bucket list?
It’s all about travel for me. Greece, Egypt and Africa.
Booklover Sue:  How did you get the idea for this particular novel?
I don’t really know how to explain that. Things pop into my head all the time and I just let the ideas grow. I roll them over in my head repeatedly until I have a good grasp on what I want to do.
Booklover Sue:  What is your favorite scene in your new release?
Probably the behind the school scene. Won’t spoil but it is sexy!
Booklover Sue:  What are you working on now and when can we expect it to be available?
Working on a few so hoping to have something out for March after this. We’ll see.
Booklover Sue:  What do you like to do when you are not writing?
I have a full time job. I have a seven year old child and a family. I also love to travel, go shopping and watch scary movies. Plus I half live on FB.
Booklover Sue:  What would you consider a perfect date?
A nice dinner followed by a movie. All done without any interruptions of the child or electronic kind. LOL
Booklover Sue:  What is one interesting fact about you that readers don’t know?
I love all things babies. I’m a huge fan of the car insurance commercial that uses babies to show the man’s love for his car. I smile and start making baby noises to the TV. Yeah. Issues, I have them.

Author Bio:
Hi! I'm Milly (AKA April Angel) I love to write sexy stories. They're usually either paranormal or contemporary with a large dose of heat. My paranormal stories can be anything from wolf-shifters (my favorites) to witches, demons and anything in between. My contemporaries are usually anything from soldiers to corporate romances.

I was born the prettiest part of the Caribbean known as the Dominican Republic. Currently, I live in New York City with my hubby, the bossy kiddo and our little dog "Needy Speedy". Don't ask.

When I'm not working some really long hours at the day job, or hanging out in the awful life-sucking invention known as Facebook, messaging my bestie in the UK or shopping with my sis Julie, then I can be found watching scary movies. Buuut when I'm not doing that, I'm usually writing because the voices won't shut up.

I am addicted to shoe shopping, chocolate (but who isn't, right?) and Dunkin' Donuts coffee.

Come on over and visit me! I love to meet new readers!
