ARC Review - Searching For Someday by Jennifer Probst

Searching For Someday
by Jennifer Probst

Description:

First in a sizzling new series from Jennifer Probst, the USA Today bestselling author adored for her “fresh, fun, and sexy” (Romancing the Book) storytelling!

In charming Verily, New York, Kate Seymour has a smashing success with Kinnections, the matchmaking service she owns with her two best girlfriends. But Kate’s more than a savvy businesswoman: She’s gifted with a secret power, a jolting touch that signals when love’s magic is at work. It rocked her when she picked up a strange volume of love spells in the town’s used bookstore . . . and it zapped her again when she encountered Slade Montgomery, the hot-tempered—and hot-bodied— divorce lawyer who storms into Kinnections demanding proof that playing Cupid won’t destroy his vulnerable sister, Kate’s newest client. The only way to convince this cynic that she’s no fraud, and that love is no mirage, is for Kate to meet his audacious challenge: find him his dream woman. Can Kate keep their relationship strictly business when her electrifying attraction nearly knocked her off her feet? Or has the matchmaker finally met her match?

My Review:

Kate is a matchmaker with a special gift for finding soul mates.  She is looking for love for herself and has been so disappointed that she is taking a break from dating.  Slade is a divorce lawyer who through both personal and professional experience doesn't believe in love.  These two opposites meet when Slade's sister, Jane, moves out and away to a small town for a new job and joins Kate's matchmaking agency.  Slade is positive that she is a fraud, only out to rob his sister and break her heart.  He decides to prove that this agency is running a scam by signing up as a client.
This was a fantastic tale of opposites attract!  Kate is such caring and loving woman while Slade is a cynic.  This was a hilarious yet endearing romance that once I started, I couldn't put it down.  I loved that Kate and her friend/partners totally surprised Slade with there matchmaking techniques many times.  Slade is so confident in himself and in his beliefs, he refuses to believe that this group could be real.  The chemistry between Kate and Slade is very intense.  Throughout this entire story I laughed, cried and melted as the relationship built.  I highly recommend this well written and heart filled story to all lovers of romance.
