BLURB:

To love…….

To save her son, there is nothing she won’t do. To save his people, neither will he. Dire circumstances force Kara McGurkie to forget she’s a woman. Dire circumstances force her to swear to love and honor, to help destroy a clan in order to get back the life she lost.  But when dire circumstances force her to seduce her fiancé’s brother on the eve of the wedding, will the dark secrets she holds and the things she wants most, be enough to save her and them, from his powerful allure, especially when she knows he may just be playing with her.

Honor….

Callm McDunnagh, the Black Wolf of Lochalpin, ruthlessly guards heart and glen from dangerous intruders. But from the moment he first sees Kara he knows he must possess her, even though he also knows that surrendering to his desire may prove the most dangerous risk of all.

And betray…

Now no problem becomes big problem as passion and desire rage out of control. Kara must look into the soul she thought she sold to make a choice. But can she look deep enough? Only she can decide who and what passion can save, or destroy, how when and who will finally learn the truth of the words… Till death do us part.

EXCERPTS:

“My lord.”

Ma would be proud of the low, rich timbre of Kara’s voice, the lowered head, downcast eyes. Why, anyone seeing this would think she really had been in Edinburgh.

“Mah bride?”

Ewen’s voice was sullied by drink. So sullied Kara could barely understand a word he said. At last, he had noticed her though. Drunk or not, the dimness of the peat-smoked room could no more disguise his eyes glowing like burning coal than it could the glint of silver on the sword hilt the Wolf fingered, she saw, edging her gaze upward and around.

Her heart hit ever so slightly against her ribcage. She had honestly not expected it to be quite so pronounced. Ewen’s stare, that was.

Of course, she’d hoped not to have to bed him, given everything she’d heard. That was why seeing how safely accomplished this was, she determined not to dwell on it. To be exactly as she should, no more, no less, to guarantee the futures of all who depended on her. Herself included. Anyway, what was it to sleep with him? With any man now? She wasn’t just cold inside, she was dust and ashes.

If Ewen expected she would speak, well she would. “Yes, my lord. I am Lady Kara, Chief Ian Dhub’s oldest daughter.” Very nicely too, making no reference to the fact that Chief Ian Dhub’s second and also his youngest had already proved so unexpectedly sticky about signing the agreement, one had said she’d sooner cut off her hand.

AUTHOR Bio and Links:

Shehanne Moore is a Scottish author, who writes gritty, witty, as much risky as risqué, historical romance, set wherever takes her fancy. Stories that detail the best and worst of human behaviour, as opposed to pouts and flounces. For years she worked at various things, while pursuing her dream of becoming a published writer, so she was gobsmacked to sell her book, The Unraveling of Lady Fury, written in three months,  to U.S. publishers, Etopia Press,  six days after subbing it.

Shehanne still lives in Scotland,  with her husband Mr Shey. She has two daughters. When not writing intriguing historical romance, where goals and desires of sassy, unconventional heroines and ruthless men, mean worlds do collide, she fantasizes about cleaning the house, plays the odd musical instrument and loves what in any other country, would not be defined, as hill-walking.

  5. LOVE men in kilts...BUT, Shehanne, I'm more worried about you fantasizing about cleaning the house. Romance and erotica authors cannot fantasize about cleaning the house! LOL.

    1. Absolutely not! So I guess I just started letting the dust build up in order to fantasize about hot men instead..... I mean one wouldn't want feather dusters coming into play!

    1. I love reading about the past. Growing up I was a big fan of writers like Anya Seton. I always gravitated and still do, to books set in the past and I loved films set in the past too. Everything from westerns to Fred and Ginger. So when I first started trying to write , I was automatically drawn to the past. I liked the idea of a big historical backdrop and several people set against it but there's this thing about focussing on two main characters only. That's when I thought about trying my hand at historical romance. I am thrilled to be with Etopia because they let me explore themes that are pretty universal. Strip everything away and this book is really about an instant attraction. One of these moments where you think ...phoar... You shouldn't but you do. .
